Did showrunner I. Marlene King reveal that Aria (Lucy Hale) and Ezra (Ian Harding) will eventually be back together in the second half of "Pretty Little Liars" season 6?
The "PLL" exec recently posted an intriguing picture of an artwork in her Instagram account. The artwork shows a dark-haired couple cozily snuggled in bed. She said that it is hanging in the new bedroom of one of the characters in the hit teen-drama thriller, and asked her followers to guess who among the characters owns it.
Since the couple in the artwork both have dark hair, fans automatically guessed that it belongs to Aria and Ezra.
The couple went through a lot of ups and downs all throughout the series, starting from their forbidden relationship since Ezra was Aria's English teacher at the Rosewood High School. Then Aria discovered that Ezra was spying on her and her friends so he could write a book about Ali's (Sasha Pieterse) mysterious disappearance. The couple eventually parted ways when Ezra decided to go on a humanitarian mission during the midseason finale of "Pretty Little Liars" season 6. Aria, on the other hand, headed to California to attend college.
But if the fan theories about the artwork turn out to be true, it could mean that Aria and Ezra are able to find a way to get back together in those five years between season 6A and 6B.
On the other hand, several fans believe that the artwork belongs to Spencer (Troian Bellisario) and Toby (Keegan Allen) since the couple also have dark hair. However, others believe that the couple broke up after Spencer left Rosewood for college.
Meanwhile, the other Liars also have exciting developments that will be shown when the series returns for the second half of the season. Hanna (Ashley Benson) left Rosewood to move in with Caleb (Tyler Blackburn) in New York, and she is believed to be engaged when she returns home. But King refused to confirm if Hanna's fiancé is still Caleb. Ali also found someone during the five-year gap, and she will be a married teacher at the Rosewood High School when the show returns. Emily (Shay Mitchell), however, seems to have had a hard time finding love while away from their hometown based on the recent trailer for the season.
"Pretty Little Liars" season 6B will air on Jan. 6, 2016 on ABC Family.
