'Pokémon Z' release date prediction: End of 2016

 The Pokemon Company

Game Freak and The Pokémon Company remain mum about the release date of "Pokémon Z," but speculations say "Pokemon GO" will drop on shelves by the end of the year.

Previous rumors claimed that the follow-up to the 2013-released "Pokémon X" and "Pokémon Y" role-playing games will come out during the first quarter of 2016 even if the game studio has yet to announce the game's development. But as the game developer is still mum about the game, new speculations claim that "Pokémon Z" will come out in the latter part of 2016.

Little is known about "Pokémon Z" aside from the gamers' speculations that Game Freak will develop the game. This is after CoroCoro magazine unveiled several images showcasing different forms of Zygarde. The character is reported to be a combination of "Pokémon X"character Xernaes and Yveltal from "Pokémon Y."

The magazine also revealed that Zygarde could be a very powerful Pokémon that has five various forms such as his Cell form that has no awareness of its own, the character's Core form that already has its own brain, the dog-like 10 percent form that comes with its own cellular structure formed by absorbing the cells nearby, the 50 percent form that looks like a snake, and the character's complete form that finally has a humanoid appearance.

But players were already raving about Zygarde's complete form, which has a pair of wings that have two different colors. Zygarde's wings are in red and blue, which could mean that the monster is a combination of two different creatures.

Since the game developer has yet to unveil the announcement regarding "Pokémon Z," it could mean that the game will not be released in early 2016 as earlier expected. Now rumors claimed that the game could be revealed in the first half of the year, and its actual release will be held before the end of 2016.

The game is also rumored to be released alongside Niantic's "Pokémon GO."
