Nintendo's latest pair of Pokémon titles, "Pokémon Omega Ruby" and "Pokémon Alpha Sapphire," is one of the most successful releases from the Japanese video game company. Since it was released during the last week of November, Nintendo sold more than 7.7 million copies of both games worldwide.

In the U.K. alone, the combined sales of both the "Omega Ruby" and "Alpha Sapphire" versions surpassed the sales of "Pokémon X and Y" by as much as 17 percent since Nintendo launched it in the country on Nov. 28, making it one of the biggest selling video games in the United Kingdom today.

The two game titles do not actually have much difference. They have the same features, including the world map as well as the gyms included inside the game. However, the gameplay of "Pokémon Omega Ruby" combats Team Magma, while "Pokémon Alpha Sapphire" challenges Team Aqua. Thus, if a player had to choose just one title between the two new Pokémon releases, they need to select which enemies they want to battle.

There are also several iconic Pokémon that are exclusive to only one of the versions of the game. So if the player wants to experience all of the monsters in the new Nintendo releases, they wil have to purchase both titles.
