'Pokémon GO' news: New Legendary, new quests, new Unowns

Dataminers for the augmented reality game, "Pokémon GO," have been on a roll recently revealing a lot of new additions that Niantic may be brewing soon. One mentioned a possible new legendary coming to the game plus information on a new big update that will most likely roll out soon.

One of the big findings of the dataminers is a new legendary Pokémon — which is assumed to be Deoxys based on the datamined files — that will be made available to gamers. However, it may take a bit longer before he graces the game since apparently the aspects have not been finalized yet. It has been noted that his stats are mostly placeholders for now. His 3D image is also missing, although Niantic usually places this aspect last — right before releasing the game.

With this information also comes the news of Castform coming into the game. Since "Pokémon GO" has already implemented a weather system, Castform gets to use his ability to transform depending on the weather. Deoxys also has the ability to transform, however, it is unsure whether this will be included in the game.

Niantic also mentioned that it will be releasing an update to the game with the usual description saying that it will include minor improvements. However, avid gamers already knew that there would be more to it. True enough, the dataminers found lines of code that are all named "Quest" followed by what is assumed to be the quest name. Simply, it looks like there will be some new in-game quests.

Another new change found, although not necessarily codes, is that there will be two new Unown forms to be added to the game. It was noted that previously the Pokédex only has 26 versions, but now it has 28, which supports the claim that there are possibly two new additions to the game.

If there is any common trend that fans will notice, it is that Niantic is definitely putting in a lot of additions to the game. Whether these improvements will be effective in convincing lapsed players to come back to "Pokémon GO" remains to be seen.
