Rumors involving the stars of "Pirates of the Caribbean 5: Dead Men Tells No Tales" abound while the movie's release date draws nearer.

Australian breakfast radio show DJ Jackie 'O' Henderson said on her show, "The Kyle and Jackie O Show," that the staff of the movie had a hard time working with lead star Johnny Depp on the upcoming installment of the fantasy movie.

"I remember talking to some crew members from Pirates Of The Caribbean and they just said, 'Working on that was a nightmare'," the Australian DJ said, as reported by Yahoo! News.

Henderson also said that Depp's working attitude had been affected by his tumultuous relationship with Amber Heard, now his ex-wife.

"He would never turn up [for work] because they were always fighting. She would drive him up the wall, and he'd never turn up on-set," she added.

The 53-year-old actor was reportedly in a fit of jealousy with his then-wife while working on the film. He reportedly accused her of having an affair with Billy Bob Thornton.

Another report claimed that the filming had to be pushed back for four weeks after Depp had to return to the U.S. after sustaining a hand injury.

Meanwhile, another report claimed that Depp and co-star Orlando Bloom were competing against each other to become the film's lead star.

There are also reports claiming that both actors will be replaced by Disney Films with new cast members in their planned reboot.

According to Parent Herald, younger cast members will be introduced in "Pirates of the Caribbean 5: Dead Men Tell No Tales" to lure the younger generation of movie-goers. They include "SLiDE" alum Brenton Thwaites, who will portray the role of Will Turner's (Bloom) son Henry, as well as "The Maze Runner" star Kaya Scodelario, who will portray the role of Carina Smyth.

"Pirates of Caribbean: Deam Men Tell No Tales" is expected to premiere in May 2017.
