Pastor Tullian Tchividjian gives updates on his new life: 'When it seems God is killing you, He's actually making you alive'

Former Coral Ridge Church Pastor Tullian Tchividjian, who is the grandson of legendary American evangelist Billy Graham, has come a long way since he resigned from his position over marital infidelity. He has now moved to Orlando and is serving the Willow Creek Presbyterian Church, all the while moving on from his divorce with wife Kim.

"The first couple months were very painful and difficult as I was detaching from everything and everyone I love in my hometown of Ft. Lauderdale. But as time has gone on, God has increasingly been settling my heart and mind by meeting me in the deep places...exposing my idols and replacing them with a fresh assurance of his love and grace," he writes on his Facebook page.

Tchividjian is grateful that God's love conquered his guilt, fixed his mess with His mercy, and absolved his sins with His salvation. He acknowledges that he could not have done it without the help of "a great counselor, a great pastor, great elders, and a great church."

"I'm doing better now spiritually, emotionally, and mentally than I have in probably years. This place and these people have become a sanctuary for me...a place where I'm getting the help and healing I need and long for, a place where I'm learning to breathe again," he says.

Just the other day, Tchividjian told his mother that even though the past year was "rocked by loss and pain and so much death," he has found more peace and contentment than ever before.

"Sometimes when it seems that God is killing you, He's actually making you alive," Tchividjian says.

He encourages people to keep on praying because resurrection is God's specialty, and He always works things out for people's betterment and His glory.
