While filming is underway for "Outlander" season 3, executive producer Ronald D. Moore gamely answered several fan inquiries about the show's upcoming season.

On Twitter, Moore revealed a few teasers about the show, particularly about the highly anticipated reunion between Claire (Caitriona Balfe) and Jamie (Sam Heughan).

According to the executive producer, fans should expect to see more sexy scenes in the upcoming season of the historical fiction drama. However, when asked if it will be between the estranged couple, Moore said that it can also mean that one of them could have another steamy scene with another person.

Moore also revealed that he was the one who wrote the script for the first episode of season 3, but he could not announce when Claire and Jamie would finally see each other again after being separated for a significant amount of time.

However, the executive producer mentioned that they are still considering their options about where they could shoot the ships since they will film all the voyage scenes in early 2017.

Starz revealed in a press release posted on the network's official website that the third season of "Outlander" will begin immediately after where the series left off last season.

"The budding possibility that Claire can return to Jamie in the past breathes new hope into Claire's heart ... as well as new doubt. Separated by continents and centuries, Claire and Jamie must find their way back to each other. As always, adversity, mystery, and adventure await them on the path to reunion. And the question remains: when they find each other, will they be the same people who parted at the standing stones, all those years ago?" the press release stated.

The third season of "Outlander" will also introduce the older version of Lord John William Grey, who will be portrayed by David Berry. The character was first seen as a young teenage British soldier in season 2 who was portrayed by Oscar Kennedy.

Starz will release the premiere episode of "Outlander" season 3 in 2017.
