While fans have just seen the new trailer for "Outlander" season 2, Starz once again released a series of photos that provide a sneak peek at the adventures of Jamie Fraser (Sam Heughan) and Claire Randall (Caitriona Balfe) in Paris.

Based on the new pictures, fans can see that major changes are coming for Jamie and Claire after moving from Scotland to France.

Both Heughan and Balfe talked about the plot of the upcoming "Outlander" season 2 in an interview with TV Guide, including the possible danger that their characters will have to face in the hands of their new villain Comte St. Germain.

"Obviously Claire's big mouth gets her into trouble straight away," Balfe shared. "They haven't even gotten off the dock...when she gets into trouble. But this introduces the character of Comte St. Germain, who is played wonderfully by Stanley Weber."

This means that the Comte's vile actions will immediately begin as soon as the couple reaches France.

Meanwhile, Heughan revealed that the situation in season 2 will be a lot different compared to their past adventures in their hometown.

"We both found this world to be just about familiar but unsettling," Heughan said. "It's less weapons. It's more politics, more backstabbing and darkness. There are some pretty dangerous characters involved."

Aside from the new settings, several new characters will also be introduced in "Outlander" season 2. This includes the highly anticipated introduction of Jamie and Claire's daughter Brianna, who will be portrayed by British actress Sophie Skelton.

The upcoming season will also debut Frances de la Tour's character Mother Hildegard, Roger Wakefield's character Richard Ranking, as well as Romann Berrux's Fergus.

"Outlander" season 2 premieres on Starz on Saturday, April 9.
