"Orphan Black" season 5 might be the hit science fiction drama's last, but fans may not have to worry about watching major characters bite the dust in the show's final run.

Despite the worrying and dangerous situations of some of the clones were left in, "Orphan Black" season 5 could end with majority of the characters safe and sound.

Co-creator Graeme Manson admitted in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter following the "Orphan Black" season 4 finale that killing off a character is "super hard."

This is not only because "it comes up all the time," but also because it brings about creative challenges and some big adjustments.

"You're balancing your dramatic impulses to do something drastic against the parts that you need as a writer to continue telling the story. That goes not just for clones but for our supporting cast," the "Orphan Black" creator said.

Manson hinted that while death is all around the Clone Club and this could very well be the case up to the show's end, there are still those who will make it out of "Orphan Black" season 5 alive and well.

"There are certain cast that are sacrosanct," Manson teased, "but I'm not going to tell you who they are," he quickly added.

"Orphan Black" season 5 is expected to pick up right where the fourth season left off, with the lives of Sarah (Tatiana Maslany) and Susan (Rosemary Dunsmore) among others in grave danger.

Rachel's (Maslany) reign of terror has shaken the Clone Club and beyond as she attempts to reignite cloning. "Orphan Black" season 5 will also introduce a new and powerful villain.

The mysterious Percival Westmoreland will finally show his face in "Orphan Black" season 5, but there's no telling what horrors he has in mind.

"Orphan Black" season 5 will mark the show's end when it airs early next year. However, it may not be the last time fans will ever see the clones as a spinoff is believed to be in the offing.
