Orlando Magic trade rumors 2016: Team trading Nikola Vucevic and Aaron Gordon for Blake Griffin?

According to the latest Orlando Magic trade rumors, the team will fight hard to acquire Blake Griffin of the Los Angeles Clippers when he hits free agency next year.

Of course, the competition in this field is enormous, seeing that Griffin is one of the most prized free agents available this summer. That being said, there are several more teams set to pursue the five-time NBA All-Star.

The Oklahoma City Thunder, Boston Celtics and the Chicago Bulls are looking to bring Griffin to their corners, according to Steve Kyler of Basketball Insiders.

"The Boston Celtics have long had eyes for Griffin, and there has been talk that the Orlando Magic and Chicago Bulls would also make a hard push at Griffin. Coincidentally, both teams have tradable assets now if the Clippers decide they want to consider a trade," Kyler wrote.

However, Centrio Times says that Orlando Magic is the most desperate with the club reportedly willing to let go of its center Nikola Vucevic and power forward Aaron Gordon just to have Griffin on the team.

Yibada says that the teams will likely wait for Griffin to be a free agent instead of trading players. This might be the case for Magic, but the site believes that the team might take the risk.

That is, if they are determined to be playoff contenders this season, trading off Vuceviv and Gordon for Griffin might be the way to make that happen.

However, according to Clipperholics, if there's one to block Griffin from exiting Los Angeles, it is Clippers head coach Doc Rivers, who, should Griffin walk out, could be the next to go.

He has already said that they will re-sign Griffin, but trade rumors continue to associate the star player with other teams. Losing Griffin, as per the site, will be devastation and the chances of Rivers bringing him back on board are a championship or NBA Finals berth.
