'The Originals' season 3 spoilers: Sibling rivalry between the Mikaelsons get deeper

Klaus (Joseph Morgan) and Elijah (Daniel Gillies) The CW

The Mikaelson siblings should have known better than to trick a lovesick witch.

In the season 2 finale of "The Originals," the Mikaelsons plotted to trick Davina (Danielle Campbell) when she was about to use her one and only chance of bringing someone back from the dead. Davina was about to use her powers to resurrect Kohl (Nathaniel Buzolic), but the siblings swapped his ashes with their mother's, thus Esther (Sonja Sohn) was the one who returned to life. The Mikaelsons did this in order to stop their aunt Dahlia (Claudia Black) from getting Klaus (Joseph Morgan) and Hailey's (Phoebe Tonkin) baby daughter Hope.

But according to season 3 spoilers, Davina will not let the Mikaelsons' deceit pass that easily.

In a recent interview with TV Line, series executive producer Michael Narducci shared that Davina will be one of the biggest threats for the Mikaelsons when "The Originals" returns for season 3. According to Narducci, Davina will be able to use the power of the spirits after being delegated as the new regent of the New Orleans witches. Her new powers will give her the opportunity to protect her fellow witches as well as the people of New Orleans, and also exact revenge from the people who trick her. This means bad news for Klaus, Elijah (Daniel Gillies), and Rebekah (Claire Holt).

But Davina will not be the only one who will threaten the peace within the original family, since Elijah is still fuming mad at Klaus for almost killing him and Rebekah to make Dahlia believe that he is on her side so that he could plot against her.

Klaus also cursed Hailey to become a permanent werewolf except for one day of the month. This has made Elijah more infuriated with his brother. Klaus explained that he needed to do what he had done to protect their daughter. Will Elijah just let this pass, or will this trigger the most deadly battle between the siblings?

"The Originals" season 3 is expected to air its premiere episode on The CW this fall.
