The third season of Netflix's critically acclaimed comedy-drama "Orange Is the New Black" just came out, but fans are already dying to know when season 4 will be released by the Internet streaming website.

As early as April this year, Netflix announced that they have already renewed Jenji Kohan's prison comedy-drama for another season. The show is based on the memoir titled "Orange Is the New Black: My Year in a Women's Prison" written by Piper Kerman.

The "Orange Is the New Black" season 4 announcement was made by actress Uzo Aduba, who portrays the role of Suzanne "Crazy Eyes" Warren in the series, through an episode of "Good Morning America" in April. Aduba also shared that the cast will be back on set sometime in June.

However, the details about what season 4 will be about were not discussed. The script is reportedly still being developed.

While promoting "OITNB" season 3 in an interview with HNGN, actress Taryn Manning also brushed on the plans for the show's fourth season. According to the actress who portrays the role of Tiffany "Pennsatucky" Doggett, the cast still has no idea how season 4 will turn out.

"Honestly, [laughs] they're so private about the show that they won't even tell us exactly when we start shooting. The whole thing is on lockdown. Secrecy is a pretty big rule. We don't see scripts in advance and won't until we start shooting," Manning shared.

This is not the first time that Netflix ordered an early renewal for "Orange Is the New Black." Before season 2 was released in June 2014, the streaming service provider already announced on May 5 that year that the show would return for season 3.

Details about the cast and guest appearances for the fourth season are still scarce at the moment. And while Netflix is still mum about the official release date, it is expected that "Orange Is the New Black" season 4 will come out in June 2016.
