OnePlus Two release date, specs rumors: Handset coming this week?

More information were revealed about the device known as OnePlus Two, the next-generation of the affordable flagship phone from Chinese brand OnePlus.

Last week, Geekbench Browser posted the specs of the device called OnePlus ONE A2001, which is rumored to be the code for the OnePlus Two since the original device is known to have an A0001 code. If the specs posted on the benchmark listing turn out to be accurate, then it means that the second version of the Chinese smartphone will have a lot of improved features that could compete with the current high-end smartphones in the market.

The benchmark listing claims that the device will be released with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor and 3 GB of RAM, and will run using the latest Android 5.1 Lollipop mobile operating system.

However, a more recent listing was found in Chinese website Ludashi, which further adds to the rumors that the next flagship product from the China-based mobile phone manufacturer will be as good as its more expensive counterparts. Android Headlines discovered the Chinese listing, which claims that the OnePlus Two will have a 1080p (1920 x 1080) screen display with 3 GB or RAM. The Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 64-bit octa-core SoC processor information was also provided, along with the Adreno 430 GPU. The upcoming smartphone will also allegedly have a powerful 13-megapixel rear-facing camera with a 5-megapixel front-facing shooter that will be enjoyed by those who love taking selfie shots and for video calling purposes.

The post also mentioned that OnePlus CEO Pete Lau has been talking about the successor of their highly successful OnePlus One product for a while, and it will reportedly be priced at 2,499 Yuan ($404).

Also, Android Headlines claims that the new OnePlus product will possibly come out by May 28 alongside the company's Hydrogen OS. However, other reports say that the device will not be ready until the third quarter of this year.

More details are expected to be released about the OnePlus Two soon.
