Just a couple of weeks after OnePlus announced the start of the Oxygen OS 3.2 roll out, the Chinese smartphone manufacturer unveiled the new Oxygen OS 3.2.2 update for their latest flagship device called OnePlus 3.

The company made the announcement through their official forum site on Tuesday, saying that the Oxygen OS 3.2.2 for OnePlus 3 is already available. The update aims to enhance the smartphone's features and fix the bugs that were missed during the previous update.

In the new Oxygen OS 3.2.2 OS update, the issues with the 4K video recording will be addressed using a new 4K codec. It will also improve the issues on the fingerprint scanner.

The rest of the improvements brought by the latest Oxygen OS 3.2.2 OS update include:

  • Improved notification management in doze
  • Addressed alert slider/silent mode issue
  • Disabled fingerprint sensor while in pocket
  • Added NFC toggle in quick settings
  • Improved noise cancellation in video recording
  • Updated 4K video recording codec
  • Added latest security patches and various optimizations

The OnePlus 3 is the highly anticipated follow-up to the company's best-selling OnePlus flagship products, which are called OnePlus 1 and OnePlus 2. The device's Soft Gold edition was launched in the U.S. on Tuesday, July 26.

According to a forum post, "We've toned the color down for a light, elegant look. To complement this more low-profile take on gold, we went with a subtle texture reminiscent of holding fine, silky-soft sand." However, the Soft Gold edition will be released with a limited supply.

The OnePlus 3 comes with a 5.5-inches screen with 1080 x 1920 pixels resolution, Qualcomm MSM8996 Snapdragon 820 chipset, Dual-core 2.15 GHz Kryo & dual-core 1.6 GHz Kryo, and Adreno 530 GPU. It also comes with a 16 megapixel primary camera with LED flash and phase detection autofocus, as well as an 8 megapixel secondary shooter, which is perfect for taking selfie photos.
