Soon after the premiere season of "One Punch Man" ended in December 2015, fans already started anticipating its season 2. Finally, in September last year, it was announced that fans, indeed, can expect a sophomore season of the hit anime series. While there has been no official statement on its release, rumors now claim that "One Punch Man" is heading back to the small screen this summer.

There is no denying that "One Punch Man" season 2 is one of the most-talked-about anime series. Way prior to its announcement, there have already been numerous rumors and speculations attached to it. However, despite the announcement of the anime series, it remains unknown as to when it will exactly arrive.

Despite the lack of any official word, though, rumors claiming that the anime series is set to return to the small screen this July persist. Reportedly, as the first season of "One Punch Man" was aired in July 2015, it is likely for its sophomore season to arrive in the same month, too. Should this be the case, it goes without saying that fans will not have to wait that long before they can be treated anew to the brand of entertainment only Saitama can offer.

Meanwhile, there are also a lot of speculations on who "One Punch Man" season 2's main villain will be. While loud rumors claim that it will be Garou, it is also said that there is a possibility for Saitama to have a showdown of force with Genos, the humanoid who self-appointed himself as the bald superhero's apprentice.

Nonetheless, some sources claim that it is also possible for "One Punch Man" season 2 to feature a returning villain, Lord Boros. While it is true that Saitama already defeated him in the season 1 finale, it is suspected that he will return and challenge Saitama anew as he has the power to regenerate.

Exciting as the rumors may sound, the only way to confirm if any of them is true, though, is to stay tuned to "One Punch Man" season 2 when it arrives, who knows exactly when.
