The manga creator promised to give more shocking and action-packed sequences for the special chapter, although fans were disheartened by the cliffhanger scene at the end of the chapter, wherein the Straw Hat pirates were cornered by Big Mom's forces.
More details regarding the fate of the Straw Hat pirates will be revealed in the upcoming "One Piece" chapter 901, and based on the latest spoilers, the group might find themselves in a very dire situation.
There are many speculations regarding the outcome of the cliffhanger scene in the last chapter, but the only confirmed fact at this point is that Big Mom has become more powerful and fearsome as ever.
After consuming a whole cake, the female Yonkou has finally restored her full power, and there might be no other way for the Straw Hat pirates to contend with such formidable foe.
Per the plot predictions and spoilers posted at the One Piece Forum, chapter 901 could introduce another surprise for the fans. Some fans raise the possibility of a brand new story arc emerging after the Whole Cake Island arc, which will begin as the Straw Hat pirates successfully escaped from the clutches of Big Mom.
However, some people seem to disagree with this theory as there is no way that the current story arc will end that simple.
