It is not often that an indie video game is able to gain traction in the gaming community, especially in these times that giant entertainment studios attempt the dominate the market every year with new AAA titles. However, a small developer company, Silver Dollar Games, managed to beat all odds by successfully launching the rhythm fighting game, "One Finger Death Punch." Interestingly, the game has become so successful that a sequel is already underway. It was recently announced that "One Finger Death Punch 2" will drop as soon as the game is ready, possible sometime in 2019.

"One Finger Death Punch," which was first released in 2013, has made a lot of players hooked on its addicting gameplay. As expected from a rhythm fighting video game, the players should eliminate all enemy units, depicted as stick figures, to clear every stage of the game. In 2019, "One Finger Death Punch 2" is expected to introduce exciting new features to a rather simple gameplay, but still keeping the same elements that made the first game so popular.

On a Facebook post, Silver Dollar Games revealed that "One Finger Death Punch 2" is currently under development, but there is no definite release date given just yet. The developer states that the "One Finger Death Punch" sequel will be out "when it's ready." For now, the team tasked to work on the upcoming game is still focused on finishing the game as soon as possible, but it could take quite a while because there are only two people handling this project, PCGamesN reported.

Nevertheless, Silver Dollar Games mentioned that "One Finger Death Punch 2" could be ready after eight months, or as soon as the polishing of the game features and user interface (UI) is done. To come with the announcement, the developer also released the first trailer for the sequel. The fans will also learn more about the game at the PAX East conference this April.
