Can Rumplestiltskin and Belle have their happily ever after?

Before "Once Upon A Time" season 4 took a break this winter, the relationship of Belle (Emilie de Ravin) and Rumplestiltskin (Robert Carlyle) was in chaos because of the evil plans of the Dark One. But fans of the couple will have something to look forward to, according to series creators Adam Horowitz and Edward Kitsis.

"Rumple and Belle have been through a lot together, and despite how it may have felt in the midseason finale, their story is not over," Horowitz said.

Kitsis, on the other hand, earlier explained that Rumplestiltskin may be one of the most difficult characters in Storybrooke to fall in love with because he chose to be more powerful instead of thinking about his loved one. And when he promised Belle that he will give her the real dagger while the Dark One got hold of the Sorcerer's hat, the events turned wayward.

"When he saw the [Sorcerer's] hat, that made him realize, 'I did the noble thing and it ended up with my son dying and me being a slave. So if I can never have to wake up and worry about someone getting my dagger, why can't I have everything?' And as he learned, you can't," Kitsis said.

The series creators also claimed that the relationship between the two is a complicated one, but fans can get to know more about it when the season returns in March.

Meanwhile, the relationship between Emma (Jennifer Morrison) and Captain Hook (Colin O'Donoghue) seems to be in a better place.

"As far as Captain Swan shippers are concerned I would say that the relationship between Emma and Hook is something we've been developing for a while and we're going to continue to develop it. ...You're going to see more challenges between the two of them as the season progresses. There's going to be some very unique, not necessarily obstacles in their relationship, but personal obstacles that will make things interesting for the two of them," Horowitz claimed.

"Once Upon A Time" season 4 returns on March 1.
