Emma Swan's fate might be compromised in the coming episode of "Once Upon a Time" season 4.

In episode 17 titled "Best Laid Plans," Hook (Colin O'Donaghue) warns Emma (Jennifer Morrison) about an upcoming danger. The danger might have something to do with Emma's past when her parents Snow White (Ginnifer Goodwin) and Prince Charming (Josh Dallas) were presented with a choice that could help ensure their child's ultimate goodness, but at a price.

According to spoilers, a flashback scene would show Snow and Charming seeking the help of an old hermit that a travelling peddler instructs them to meet. However, they learn that the price of making their child a good person is high, something that would cause them distress for years. This past event and the couple's decision may also lead to some dangerous effects that could make or break Emma's future.

Also, the episode focuses on Rumpelstiltskin's (Robert Carlyle) plans to take over the storybook by completely rewriting it based on his own version of the story. He also needs the Queens of Darkness to execute his plans, something Ursula (Merrin Dungey), Maleficent (Kristin Bauer van Straten) and Cruela de Vil (Victoria Smurfit) do not mind doing.

However, Regina the Evil Queen has plans of her own to take the group of villains on a wild goose chase. Will they still be able to carry out their plans of a total storybook take over?

The official synopsis for the episode reads:

"Hook tells Emma that her fate is at stake in Gold's plan while Regina leads the villains on a wild goose chase. Henry makes a breakthrough in his search to find the Author, but Mary Margaret and David need a moment to reconsider the best course of action. In a Fairy Tale Land flashback, Snow and Charming search for a way to ensure their child will grow-up to be a hero. When a travelling peddler directs them to visit a kindly old hermit, Snow and Charming are presented with a choice that could secure their child's goodness, but at a price that will haunt them for years to come."

"Once Upon a Time" season 4 episode 17 airs on March 29 on ABC.
