"Once Upon a Time" season 5 will be doing a "Beauty and the Beast" storyline and for it, they needed a new Gaston to come around. This is where "True Blood" resident vampire hunter Wes Brown comes into the picture.

Variety has word that the actor was tapped to play the role of Belle's self-important suitor in the beloved Disney fairytale. The character will appear during the last hours of the season, when the series recounts Belle's life before Rumple changes it all.

The muscle-flexing, vanity-loving "Beauty and the Beast" antagonist was already featured in "Once Upon a Time" season 1. "Psych" star Sage Brocklebank played the role in the Rumple-Belle episode titled "Skin Deep.

It remains to be seen which "Once Upon a Time" season 5 episode Brown will suit up as Gaston. From the looks of it though, he won't appear immediately after the latter half of the season premieres.

In related news, it looks like "Once Upon a Time" season 5 won't be the last of the series. With the show on a roll on the ratings department as per Entertainment Weekly, ABC boss Paul Lee hinted that the show won't stop there.

Lee is a fan of showrunners and the show's co-creators Adam Horowitz and Edward Kitsis and credits much of the show's success to the duo. During the Television Critics Association's press tour, Lee described them as "inventive."

"You know these great shows with strong franchises, they ebb and flow as you go through," Lee said of the hit fantasy series via EW. He also took pride in the strong debut of "Once Upon A Time" season 5 and how the rest of the season can become better and better.

"Each of their arcs they bring a new theme in. Their next theme is going to be great because Hades gives us the chance to bring back so many of the people that we lost. I think 'Once Upon a Time' has a long and bright future," Lee went on to say.

"Once Upon a Time" season 5 returns on March 6 on ABC with an episode called "Souls of the Departed."
