Hook won't be the only pirate come the latter half of "Once Upon a Time" season 5. Costas Mandylor, best known for his role in the "Saw" movies, was tapped to play the role of Captain Silver in the hit ABC fantasy drama.

Not much is known about Mandylor's character except for the fact that he is someone from Hook's past. There remains no confirmation if the new bandit is Storybrooke's version of Captain Long John Silver, the primary antagonist in the book "Treasure Island" by Robert Louis Stevenson.

If so, he brings nothing but trouble to the heroes especially to Hook seeing that in the 1883 novel, the brigand is known to be cunning and opportunistic. He will be in "Once Upon a Time" season 5 in spring but it is unclear how many episodes he will be in or when exactly he'll turn up.

Hook will be in an awful lot of trouble when "Once Upon a Time" season 5 returns, should Captain Silver appear anytime soon. The last time fans saw him, he was in the Underworld, which is filled with people with unfinished business that often has to do with something sinister.

There are a lot of folks in there, majority of them thirsty for revenge and just plain cunning. In short, a lot of them are not to be trifled with. But in the name of true love, Emma will descend there anyway to save Hook's soul.

It has been quite a whirlwind for Hook in the first part of "Once Upon a Time" season 5 and assuming Emma emerges victorious in saving his beloved, the handsome pirate's problems are yet to see no end, with Captain Silver at arm's length.

Emma being able to save Hook might prove helpful to her. Photos from the set reveal that Emma could finally return to her old self. Actress Jennifer Morrison, who plays the character, was pictured in Vancouver filming as the normal Emma.

"Once Upon a Time" season 5 returns on March 6 on ABC with an episode called "Souls of the Departed."
