According to the latest reports, Nvidia could move past the $1,500-limit for its gaming graphics card with the arrival of the new GeForce GTX 20 series this year. To note, the company's most expensive graphics processing unit (GPU) in the GTX 10 series, the GeForce GTX 1080 Ti, currently costs around $1,200 on Amazon. With the expected release of the GTX 2080 later this year, things will be shaken up a bit as the graphics card could have a stunning starting price of $1,499.
If there is one thing that is barring most gamers from choosing an Nvidia GeForce graphics card, that would be its price tag. With the GTX 2080 expected to be more expensive than the previous gaming GPUs, one could only hope that the price increase equates to improved performance. It is believed that the upcoming GeForce GTX 2080 will boast around 30 to 50 percent enhanced performance than the GeForce GTX 1080 in SLI. The card is said to be manufactured based on the latest 12-nanometer Ampere architecture.
