Nintendo game releases for the rest of 2015

The third quarter of 2015 will end next month, but it does not mean that Nintendo will stop revealing more exciting news from their game development studios for the rest of the year. 

In a recent announcement posted on their official website, the Japanese gaming and entertainment company stated that there are more games to look forward to in the later part of 2015, and most of them will be exclusively released for the company's Nintendo 3DS and Wii U game consoles. 

"Nintendo has games, amiibo and systems to satisfy all kinds of players, whether they're looking for back-to-school gifts or getting an early start on their holiday shopping," Nintendo of America Executive Vice President of Sales & Marketing Scott Moffitt said. "No one can match the quality or uniqueness of what Nintendo has to offer for the rest of 2015." 

The list of games that Nintendo is planning to release this year includes: 

  • Super Mario Maker – A Wii U Bundle that comes with the puzzle game, Idea Book and the 30th Anniversary Mario Modern Color amiibo will be exclusively released by Walmart and its online retail shop on Sept. 11 for $299.96, while the game itself will sell for $59.99 on the same day. 
  • Yoshi's Woolly World – The game will be released on Oct. 16 for $49.99, but it will also come in a bundle that combines the game with a green Yarn Yoshi amiibo for only $59.99. A pink and a light-blue Yarn Yoshi amiibo will also be available on the same date, and both will be sold at $16.99 each. 
  • New Super Mario Bros. U and New Super Luigi U combo pack – Both games will be released for Wii U on Oct. 16 for only $59.99. 
  • Fatal Frame: Maiden of Black Water – The game that was co-created by Koei Tecmo Games will be exclusively available in the Nintendo eShop on Wii U beginning Oct. 22 for just $49.99. 
  • Star Fox – coming to retail stores on Nov. 20 for just $59.99. 
  • Xenoblade Chronicles X - The game will be released on Dec. 4 for only $59.99. 
  • Devil's Third - Nintendo will launch the game on Dec. 11, and it will be priced at $59.99. 
  • Animal Crossing: amiibo Festival and amiibo figures for Animal Crossing characters Isabelle, Digby, K.K., Reese, Cyrus, Tom Nook, Mabel and Lottie - All these will come out during the holidays. 
  • Mario Tennis: Ultra Smash - This is another Wii U game that will come during Holiday 2015. 
  • 13AM Games' Runbow will launch in North America beginning today, Aug. 27, at the Nintendo eShop on Wii U. Then those who downloaded the the Nindies@Home demo version will get the 15 percent discount from its regular price of $14.99 one month after the launch.
  • Disney Interactive's Disney Infinity 3.0 Edition - The toys-to-life game will be launched on Aug. 30 for just $64.99.
  • Activision's Skylanders SuperChargers Starter Pack for Wii U - On Sept. 20, the toys-to-life game will be sold for $74.99. It will feature Nintendo's legendary character Bowser and Donkey Kong as playable characters for the first time. 
  • Warner Bros. Interactive LEGO Dimensions Starter Pack - The game will be unveiled to the public on Sept. 27 at a suggested retail price of $99.99.
  • Activision's Guitar Hero Live - The game that is worth $99.99 will be released on Oct. 20.
  • Just Dance 2016 - The latest installment of the Ubisoft dance game will come out on Oct. 20 for only $49.99.
  • Shovel Knight from Yacht Club Games – The award-winning game indie game will finally come in retail stores sometime in October with the price tag of $24.99. 

The following is the schedule of game releases for Nintendo 3DS:

  • Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer ($39.99) - Sept. 25
  • Chibi-Robo! Zip Lash ($39.99) - Oct. 9
  • The Legend of Zelda: Tri Force Heroes ($39.99) - Oct. 23
  • Japanese sensation YO-KAI WATCH ($39.99) - Nov. 6
  • Pokémon Super Mystery Dungeon ($39.99) - Nov. 20
  • Skylanders SuperChargers Racing from Activision ($64.99) - Sept. 20
  • Shovel Knight Nintendo 3DS edition from Yacht Club Games ($24.99) October 2015.

Finally, the new suggested retail price of Nintendo 2DS will be set at $99.99, which is more affordable than its original price of $129.99.
