Nexus 6 vs Moto DROID Turbo specs: Which Motorola-manufactured device is better?

When the Nexus 6 was first released in November last year, it did not support Wi-Fi Calling, but after T-Mobile announced that they will be featuring the service in their network, Google finally announced that the device will have an update to be able to support the new service.

Google's Nexus 6, manufactured by Motorola, was released by the company to showcase its latest Android 5.0 Lollipop operating system. But compared to the mobile manufacturing brand's earlier release called the Moto DROID Turbo, some of its specs are not as high-end as the latter.

Here is a comparison between the two devices that are both manufactured by Motorola:

Google's Nexus 6 has a 159.3 x 83 x 10.1 mm measurement all-over and weighs 184 grams. It comes with a 5.96-inch display and features a 1440 x 2560 pixel resolution with 493 ppi pixel density.

Under the hood, the device has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 chipset with a quad-core 2.7 GHz Krait 450 processor and an Adreno 420 graphics card. It has 3 GB of RAM with two varieties of internal memory storage, namely the 32 GB and 64 GB models.

The Nexus 6 is also equipped with a 13-megapixel primary shooter with dual LED flash and optical image stabilization, while the secondary front-facing camera is 2 megapixels.

Moto DROID Turbo

Motorola's high-end Moto DROID Turbo has a measurement of 143.5 x 73.3 x 8.3 mm all over and comes with a smaller 5.2-inch Super AMOLED display. It features a resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels with 565 ppi pixel density. It also weighs lighter compared to the Nexus 6 at 169 grams.

Inside, the device is equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 chipset and a quad-core 2.7 GHz Krait 450 processor. It also has an Andreno 429 graphics card just like the Nexus 6. The device also has a 3 GB RAM with both 32 GB and 64 GB internal memory options, which is the same as the Google device.

However, the camera features of the Moto DROID Turbo are a lot better compared to the Nexus 6, because of its 21-megapixel dual-LED flash with autofocus. But it also has the same 2-megapixel secondary camera just like the other smartphone.

Although the Moto DROID Turbo comes with an Android 4.4.4 KitKat operating system, it is expected to be updated with the Lollipop OS.

The Moto DROID Turbo will soon be released in the Indian market.
