Nexus 6 release date, pre-orders: AT&T, T-Mobile and Sprint network carrier deals

Google's Nexus 6

The long wait is over for Nexus smartphone fans, as Google finally released its much-awaited Android 5.0 Lollipop-powered flagship phone Nexus 6 this week.

Major U.S. network carriers will start taking pre-orders beginning Nov. 12.

AT&T offers the Midnight Blue model of Nexus 6 starting on the said date. Its two-year contract with the smartphone will sell for $249.99, while those who do not want to be tied to a contract can get the phone for an outright payment of $682.99. AT&T also presents the Next plans: buyers can opt to pay $22.77 monthly without any down payment under the Next 24 plan; $28.46 monthly fee with no down payment under the Next 18 plan; or $34.15 monthly fee with zero down payment under the Next 12 plan. However, the carrier did not divulge the exact date when the devices will be shipped off to those who pre-order the latest Google smartphone.

T-Mobile, on the other hand, decided to push back their Nexus 6 launch date to Nov. 19.

The announcement was posted on the mobile carrier's Google+ account, saying, "To give T-Mobile customers the best experience possible, we're moving our Nexus 6 launch out one week to 11/19."

T-Mobile offers a more affordable price for their Nexus 6. It will be sold for $649.92 for outright purchases without contracts, or $27.09 per month with no down payments via financing.

Meanwhile, Sprint will begin their online and in-store pre-selling on Nov. 14. The device will be sold for $696 without contracts, or $29 per month for 24 months.

For those who want to purchase the device through Google Store, they have to pay $649 for the 32 GB variant of the Nexus 6. The Google Store is only the authorized vendor to offer the White version of the device, since almost all carriers only have the Midnight Blue variant.

The shipping date for the Google Nexus 6 smartphone is expected before the holidays.
