With the dawn of a new month and a new year comes Netflix's traditional cascade of TV shows and films ready to be streamed. While a whole host of goodies are bound to disappear from the site soon, the streaming giant is swapping them with a great selection of new additions.

Those who like to get their TV fix from Netflix or those who just want to catch up on their shows are in for a treat. Viewers who follow the goings-on in the good old Paddy's Pub will be happy to know that season 10 of "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia" will stream on the site starting Jan. 5

On the same day, viewers can catch Jess's latest misadventures in "New Girl" season 4, which is a good way to prepare for its fifth season. The final season of "Parks and Recreation" will also drop on Jan. 13. "Z Nation" season 2 will also ease its way into Netflix on Jan. 17. The first season of the hot food show "I'll Have What Phil's Having" will be available on Jan. 2.

Those who want to start their movie hopping right can definitely rely on the streaming site. At the start of the year, get a load of cars, brawls and all-around action in "2 Fast 2 Furious." For a good scare, there's "House of Wax." For a good comedy fix, viewers can go for "Meet the Fockers" and "Meet the Parents."

Comic book movie adaptations such as "Catwoman" and "Constantine" are coming to Netflix on Jan. 1. A slew of 2015 films, including "The Last Five Years," "Moonwalkers," "Occupied" and "The Overnight" will touch down on Jan. 16

On Jan. 22, users can start watching "Sharknado 3" and on the next day, comedian Chelsea Handler's docu-series "Chelsea Does" officially debuts. Fans can also catch episodes from the nature documentary series "Frozen Planet" on Jan. 28. "The Making of Frozen Planet" will be added as well.
