'NCIS' season 14 spoilers: new teammates get special welcome sweaters from Abby

The team's latest case might face a scary conclusion in the next episode of "NCIS" season 14.

In the episode titled "Shell Game," the NCIS team will follow the case of a kidnapped petty officer named Kelly Ristow (Emily Alabi), who escaped her abductor. But the NCIS team believes that she is still in danger after they discovered that her kidnapping had something to do with her missing husband.

Based on the promo video for the upcoming episode, Special Agent Gibbs (Mark Harmon) revealed to Forensic Specialist Abby Scuito (Pauley Perrette) that someone was instructing the petty officer's captors what to do. But the trailer also teased that something bad could happen to Special Agent Alex Quinn (Jennifer Esposito).

The official synopsis released by CBS also revealed that Abby will welcome the new members of the team with special handmade sweaters that have the NCIS logo. This could be Abby's way to make the new members warm up to the group.

Meanwhile, TVLine revealed that veteran movie star Mary Stuart Masterson was tapped to portray a recurring role in the 14th episode of "NCIS."

According to the report, Masterson will portray the role of the witty congresswoman named Jenna Flemming. The report mentioned that the experienced congresswoman is not afraid to mince words and to do everything to get what she wants.

Also, the reports mentioned that Congresswoman Flemming will form a strong bond with NCIS Director Leon Vance (Rocky Carroll) as the team investigates a threat aimed at the savvy politician.The arc is expected to begin in November.

Masterson is known for appearing in several popular TV series like "The Good Wife" and "Law & Order: SVU." She also appeared in several films in the past, including "Fried Green Tomatoes" and "Some Kind of Wonderful."

The next episode of "NCIS" season 14 is slated to air on Tuesday, Oct. 25.
