"NCIS" season 13 is on an excruciating three-week hiatus that will, at last, conclude on Feb. 9 with an exciting episode called "Decompressed," which definitely sounds like the kind of installment to open with after some time away.

Things will be getting a bit strange when the show returns to the small screen and it's all because of the murder of a deep-sea diver who met his demise while on duty. Her deceased body was found inside a high-tech decompression diver tank.

The reality of the situation makes it easier for the guys to crack the case. In order to identify the perpetrator, the diver's remains will have to stay inside the decompression chamber along with four of his co-workers considered as suspects.

The members of the team then do their job from outside of the tank, which won't be easy. From what it looks like, the case presented in episode 14 of "NCIS" season 13 calls for an untraditional investigation, which poses challenges as well as a strict deadline to the people in charge of finding the truth.

Meanwhile, the episode following "Decompressed," which is titled "React," will see another appearance of Joe Spano as FBI Special Agent Fornell, who will be working with Gibbs's team to solve another kidnapping case.

Fornell's assistance is once again needed, this time to locate the abducted daughter of Secretary of the Navy Sarah Porter. The NCIS and the FBI team up to discover the motive behind the kidnapping and of course, bring the victim back to her worried-sick mother.

Speaking of team-ups, McGee's childhood friend NCIS Special Agent Valerie Page will also drop by to help out the team with some advance tactics training. It does not look like it will be as straightforward as it appears to be.

"NCIS" season 13 returns to CBS on Feb. 9.
