The tragic plane crash in the bayou will prompt Pride (Scott Bakula) and the team to work with the FBI in the next episode of "NCIS: New Orleans" season 3.

In the upcoming episode titled "Course Correction," the NCIS team in New Orleans will discover that the fatal plane crash that killed three individuals was not a simple accident. Based on the pieces of evidence that they gathered, the team will find out that someone deliberately planned the plane crash. But the team will need the help of the FBI to find out who caused the accident.

The episode will also deal with Brody's (Zoe McLellan) unexpected exit. According to the synopsis of the upcoming episode, the agents will start looking for her replacement by interviewing possible candidates for the vacant position.

The Futon Critic revealed the synopsis for the upcoming episode, which reads: "NCIS and FBI investigate a private plane crash in the bayou that killed three sailors. Also, Sonja (Shalita Grant) and Lasalle (Lucas Black) interview candidates for the team's open agent position."

Can Sonja and Lasalle finally find the perfect replacement for Brody in the upcoming episode?

The unexpected exit of McLellan in the series was reportedly a part of the producers' creative decision since her character got romantically linked with the Homeland Security agent who also happened to be the leader of a terrorist ring. This association jeopardized the position of Pride and the rest of the team, which is why they had to let her go.

However, a report from the Morning Ledger back in September claimed that McLellan had to leave the show because she wants to focus on raising her son and her new love life. But the actress has yet to comment if the speculation is true.

The next episode of "NCIS: New Orleans" season 3 is slated to air on Tuesday, Oct. 25, on CBS.
