After the drama-filled seventh season finale of "NCIS: Los Angeles" early this month, fans of the show are wondering how the police procedural series will top it in season 8.

In the season 7 finale, the life of Sam Hanna's (LL Cool J) son, Aiden (Tye White), was threatened after the terrorist Tahir Khaled (Anslem Richardson) held the entire Keating Military Academy hostage. Khaled particularly focused on Aiden because of Sam.

But the entire team of the Office of Special Projects of the Los Angeles branch of NCIS did everything that they can in order to save Aiden and all the students of the military academy to thwart Khaled's plans.

But due to the turn of events, can Sam continue putting his life and the rest of his family in danger because of his job? Or will he decide to lie low for season 8 just like what colleague Anthony DiNozzo (Michael Weatherly) did in season 13 of the original "NCIS" series?

CBS has yet to reveal the plot of "NCIS: Los Angeles" season 8, but speculations about the show are now being discussed online. They include the possible future for Kensi Blye (Daniela Ruah) and Martin Deeks (Eric Christian Olsen).

All throughout season 7, Deeks and Kensi's relationship showed a lot of progress. From being partners who turned into lovers, the couple appears to be ready to bring their relationship to another level by moving in together and talking about having kids.

But now that Ruah announced that she is pregnant with her second child, fans of the show are wondering if the writers of "NCIS: Los Angeles" will include her real-life pregnancy in the story to add a new twist in Kensi and Deeks' story, or if she will be written off in season 8 until she gives birth.

Fans are also looking forward to how G. Callen's (Chris O'Donnell) story will roll out in season 8, after some of the mysteries about his life were revealed in season 7. Will there be more secrets unveiled in the coming season?

CBS is still mum about the premiere episode of "NCIS: Los Angeles" season 8.
