It seems like Deeks (Eric Christian Olsen) and Kensi's (Daniela Ruah) happy news will be shadowed by a call of duty in the next episode of "NCIS: Los Angeles" season 7.

In the episode titled "Come Back," the professional partners-turned-romantic couple finally decided that they want to level up the relationship and move in together. But the two did not expect that they will be assigned by Hetty (Linda Hunt) to another case where they will have to deal with Kensi's former fiancé Jack (Matthew Del Negro).

CBS released the official synopsis for the upcoming episode, which reads:

"When Kensi and Deeks announce to the team they are moving in together, coincidentally, Hetty assigns them to protection detail for Jack (Matthew Del Negro), Kensi's ex-fiancé, who is in possession of a list containing important contacts in Afghanistan that people are willing to kill to get their hands on."

While giving Jack the protection that he badly needs, Deeks will not feel comfortable to see Kensi spend time with her ex-boyfriend again.

Kensi and Jack called off their engagement in the 19th episode of "NCIS Los Angeles" season 5 when he moved to Afghanistan and converted to Islam to help people who could possibly have connections to the Taliban. She urged him to leave the Arab country but he already decided that Afghanistan would be his home now and left her standing on the hills, crying.

Deeks was with her during that time, and he believes that his girlfriend still has some feelings for her former fiancé. In the promo video, Deeks urges Kensi to talk to Jack to clear things between them.

"You've got things you still need to say to him, and you've got to say it," he tells her.

Will the new assignment put a dent on their blossoming relationship?

"NCIS: LA" season 7 episode 14 airs on Monday, Jan. 25, on CBS.
