NBA trade rumors: JaVale McGee to Milwaukee Bucks

The Golden State Warriors has been seemingly getting a good record since the start of the season, which to many, is not much of a surprise. However, they are looking to make some changes as their frontcourt seems to be packed already. The first one to be possibly thought of to be traded is JaVale McGee.

McGee, if traded, could likely be headed to the Milwaukee Bucks, as per Sporting News. This theory comes after reports that the Bucks and the Warriors have previously been making negotiations for both McGee and Zaza Pachulia. Pachulia is unlikely to be traded with the Warriors still respecting his defense.

However, the Bucks would not be able to offer much and are probably not willing to give up anything vital to their team at this point. McGee could definitely be an addition to John Henson and Thon Maker. At least with the Bucks, the 29-year old would likely have more minutes on the floor.

McGee was not much a problem to the Warriors, but neither was he a major improvement to the team. He was only given a minimal contract extension of one year back in the summer and was reportedly denied a starting position. After all, coach Steve Kerr already has Pachulia, Draymond Green, and Kevin Durant for the frontcourt.

Also, the team has already decided to invest in their rookie, Jordan Bell, who actually does nearly the same things as McGee. When looking at the Warriors' future, things seem to already be planned out, and McGee just does not seem to fit.

According to The Athletic, after all of these considered, McGee himself would naturally be unhappy with his stay at the team. If things continue, he just might find himself with the Bucks or another new team even ahead of the trade deadline on Feb. 8, 2018.
