The New York Knicks continue to strengthen their 2016-2017 roster by signing multiple free agents for the next NBA season.

After managing to acquire Derrick Rose from the Chicago Bulls through a trade deal, the Knicks also got to sign his teammate Joakim Noah as a free agent Friday last week.

Team president Phil Jackson told NBA.com that the inclusion of the former Bulls players could complement the playing style of some of the top players in their roster.

"Acquiring Derrick Rose through a trade and securing Joakim Noah through free agency has given us a great ability to choose players that complement the incumbents Carmelo Anthony and Kristaps Porzingis," Jackson stated. "As an organization, we look towards our next challenge of blending the skills of this talented group."

The Knicks also inked a deal with Orlando Magic's point guard Brandon Jennings and Charlotte Hornets shooting guard Courtney Lee.

Just like Rose and Noah, Jennings also had to deal with major injuries during the past season. In January 2015, he had a ruptured Achilles' tendon that limited his playing time for the Magic and Detroit Pistons. But the 26-year-old Compton, CA-native said that Jackson is counting on him to step up from the bench in the upcoming season.

"When I talked to Phil he said he expects me to be Sixth Man of the Year," Jennings told the New York Times. "I'm definitely going to embrace that role."

Lee, on the other hand, believes that the upcoming Knicks line-up has a full potential.

"There's a strong core group. And joining this team would only increase my chances of competing in the Eastern Conference and trying to win a ring," he said.

Meanwhile, Al Iannazzone from NewsDay Sports reported via Twitter that the Knicks acquired Duke's center Marshall Plumlee to add depth of the team's line-up. They are also planning to reacquire Slovenian shooting guard Sasha Vujačić for another season.
