'Nashville' season 3 spoilers: Everyone goes on a little trip outside the Music City in episode 20

It seems that everyone is going to leave Nashville in episode 20 of "Nashville" season 3.

In the episode titled "Time Changes Things," visiting pop superstar-turned-aspiring country singer Jade (Christina Aguilera) invites her friends from the city to visit her house in Malibu, while Rayna (Connie Britton) travels out of town and have a little sidetrip along memory lane while searching for the best treatment for Deacon's (Charles Esten) cancer.

The official synopsis for the episode reads:

Rayna is going to travel to Natchez, MS to try to help Deacon and we will learn how her past with him affects his life-and-death struggle today. Jade will invite Luke (Will Chase), Jeff (Oliver Hudson) and Layla (Aubrey Peeples) to her beachfront bash in her home in Malibu which turns into an all-night rager. Back in Nashville, new mom Juliette (Hayden Penettiere), will try to jump-start her career with a last-minute rooftop concert, and Kiley (Alexa PenaVega) will return to Gunnar (Sam Palladio) with news that changes everything."

Rayna and Deacon had a very intimate relationship in the past, which is why she will do everything that she can to help him get a cure for his cancer. Fans of the show will also have a good glimpse of Deacon's alcoholic past, which could be the reason why he now has lung cancer.

Meanwhile, guest star Nick Jandl, who portrays the role of Dr. Caleb Rand, dished a few spoilers for the upcoming season finale during an interview with ABC News. According to the actor, the writers managed to write an amazing story that binds his love triangle story with Scarlett (Clare Bowen) and Gunnar with the Rayna-Deacon arc.

"And they do such a masterful job of bringing all of it together in a super-climatic episode. Everyone is going to be chomping at the bit for the next season," Jandl stated.

Episode 20 of "Nashville" season 3 will air on April 29 on ABC.
