'Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4' gameplay: Boruto and Sarada battle their parents in new gameplay

 Bandai Namco

With a month left before "Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4" finally makes its way out, Bandai Namco keeps the hype alive by releasing a series of brand new gameplay videos to help gamers to chug away the days until the official release.

In brand new footage, the video game publisher showed the old and new generation in one grand battle. The short but intense clip shows Boruto and Sarada take on younger incarnations of their parents Naruto and Sasuke (donning their look during their first ever appearance in the manga).

Push Square points out that the "Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4" footage was meant to showcase a key element of the game and the franchise altogether, and that is the transmission of knowledge to the posterity.

While some believe that it will feel a bit odd seeing the youngsters take on their parents the same age as them, Forbes believes that the time-travel element is actually what makes the game more fun to play and explore.

The visuals department of "Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4," on the other hand, is believed to help in making the amazing gameplay stand out. Looking at the graphics alone, the game's transfer to new-gen consoles also proves to help in making it look as great as it does.

Boruto and Sarada are two of the latest characters in the beloved "Naruto" manga and anime universe. They debuted in the movie "Boruto: Naruto the Movie," which is set after the events in the anime and manga series. However, they are only available as pre-order bonuses.

Pre-ordering "Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4" won't only score the redoubtable-looking duo. Players will also be endowed an extra Hokage Kakashi costume and "The Last -Naruto the Movie" versions of characters Naruto, Sasuke, Sakura and Hinata.

"Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4" will be available for the PC, PS4 and Xbox One on Feb. 4 in Japan, Feb. 5 in Europe and Feb. 9 in North America.
