The highly anticipated release date of Motorola latest DROID smartphone, the Moto X Force, is expected to be revealed late this month.

According to speculations that emerged after the release of the press invites from Motorola and American network carrier Verizon, the new line of Motorola smartphone products will be revealed on Oct. 27. It is strongly believed that the Moto X Force is included in the lineup of devices that will be revealed during the said event in New York City.

According to the invite, the collaboration between the Motorola and one of the leading network providers in the US will be unveiling several Droid phones that will be different from all the other smartphones in the market today. But while the invites did not state the specific names of devices that will come out during the event, it is expected to see the Moto X Force or more commonly known in the US as the Moto Droid Turbo 2 alongside the other devices that will be announced during the said date.

Previous rumors about the Moto X Force mentioned that the device will come with a 5.5-inch 2560 x 1440 Quad-HD Shatter-proof display, an octacore Snapdragon 810 Processor with 3 GB of RAM with 32 GB and 64 GB storage options that can be expanded using the micro-SD slot. It is also said to come with a 21-MP rear primary camera and a 5-MP front-facing selfie camera, dual front speakers, and a whopping 3,760-mAh Battery with TurboPower and Fast Wireless Charging technology. However, it is still unclear whether the device will run using the Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system or the latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow upon release.

Aside from the Moto X Force, it is also reported that the Moto X Play, also known as the Moto Droid Maxx 2, will be revealed during the said event.

Expect to hear more news about the upcoming products after the Oct. 27 Motorola-Verizon event.
