With the lineup for the "Mortal Kombat X: Kombat Pack 2" unveiled December last year, fans are already to looking forward to see how the new combatants will fair against other vicious warriors on the fighting game's notoriously bloody battlefield.

For the uninitiated, the characters from the expansion pack were revealed last month. The list includes Leatherface from the "Texas Chainsaw Massacre" films, Xenomorph from sci-fi classic "Alien," Bo Rai Cho and Triborg (a deadly combination of Cyrax, Sektor and Cyber Smoke).

"Mortal Kombat X" co-creator Ed Boon recently announced via Twitter (sans his usual cryptic teases) that a gameplay video showing the newcomers in action will be released next week. He did not specify a date but fans are sure to be treated with "Kombat Pack 2" footage very soon.

At the moment, it is still a mystery when the "Mortal Kombat X: Kombat Pack 2" will be released on all platforms although there are speculations that the four new fighters will make an entrance during the first quarter of this year.

Hopefully, an announcement of the release date will come along with the debut of the gameplay video. With more and more details being revealed about the second character-centric DLC for the hit video game, this piece of info should trickle in before long.

For those who did not hear it, the characters from "Mortal Kombat X: Kombat Pack 2" were unmasked in a leak just before they were officially revealed during The Game Awards last year and shortly after Boon teased the announcement taking place in the said event.

Kombat Pack 1, the previous "Mortal Kombat X" character pack, was released last year. It included characters Jason Voorhees from "Friday the 13th," Predator from the cult-favorite movie of the same name as well as native "Mortal Kombat" fighters Tremor and Tanya.
