Fans have been waiting since May for the release of the "Mortal Kombat X" downloadable or DLC called Kombat Pack 3, which NetherRealms creative director Ed Boon promised to roll out in the future.

After this revelation, fans have been waiting for the announcement of the specific release date of the DLC, but NetherRealms has not offered new details about the highly-anticipated expansion pack.

But Boon never stopped teasing fans about the "Mortal Kombat X" Kombat Pack 3 and he once again took to Twitter to allude to the yet to be released DLC.

In a new poll asking fans if they will purchase the newly-released Xbox One S, he acknowledged the thirst of fans to see Kombat Pack 3 see the light of day by making the third option "Kombat Pack 3 Dammit!!"

It was not a shock at all that the final results gave the third choice a resounding victory, which simply showed that fans are dying to see "Mortal Kombat X" Kombat Pack 3.

Boon did not follow up on the results and still did not give an update. However, the fact that he once again mentioned it hints that the Kombat Pack 3 may just be around the corner.

However, fans are advised not to keep their hopes up especially since Boon implied "Mortal Kombat X" Kombat Pack 3 making an appearance at last month's EVO 2016 event, which obviously did not happen.

On the other hand, Boon implied days back during a PlayStation Blogcast that "Injustice 2" is keeping them to busy for "Mortal Kombat X" Kombat Pack 3.

"We're very busy. Because Mortal Kombat X, we've extended its support even further than all the other games. It's actually overlapping into our next game, Injustice 2," Boon said.

While NetherRealms appear to be keeping their cards close to its chest at the moment, "Mortal Kombat X" Kombat Pack 3 is expected to come out soon.

The question that lingers is when that will happen, with fans hoping that the answer will be soon.
