After bringing the infamous "Friday the 13th" killer Jason Voorhees to "Mortal Kombat X" through its first DLC pack rolled out early this month, NetherRealm Studios seems to be planning more DLC releases.
"Mortal Kombat" creator Ed Boon earlier teased that aside from the character packs, a "Story Pack" DLC might soon be coming to the new installment of the franchise.
When a fan asked Boon in Twitter if the unplayable characters from the story mode can be patched into the main game to make them playable, he simply replied, "You mean like a 'Story Pack?'"
The alleged story pack can make characters like Smoke, Kabal, Rain, and Frost become playable in the main game.
While the official details for the speculated "Story Pack" DLC are still unannounced, three other downloadable contents are expected to be released for "Mortal Kombat X" soon.
The next one to be released after the "Ultimate Horror Pack" featuring Jason Voorhes released on May 5 is called the "Klassic Pack 1." It will include the playable character Tanya, as well as the Klassic skins for characters Kano, Liu Kang, and Sonya.
The third expansion pack is called the "Predator/Prey Pack" that will feature the much anticipated playable character Predator from the "Aliens" franchise. It will also include Predator-themed skins for other characters like Infrared Scorpion, Commando Johnny, as well as the voice of "Predator" actor Carl Weathers as Jax.
Then the fourth DLC pack is called the "Klassic Pack 2" that features Tremor as an added playable character. It will also come with Klassic skins for Kung Lao, Jax, and Quan Chi.
The release dates for these future downloadable content packs for "Mortal Kombat X" are still unrevealed.
"Mortal Kombat X" debuted worldwide on April 14 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC, and it was also released in mobile platforms in the same month. The last-gen console versions of the game are expected to come out in the second or third quarter of 2015.
