Capcom's action role-playing video game "Monster Hunter World" has turned out to be a hit among reviewers and critics.

At the time of this writing, "Monster Hunter World" is sitting at a comfortable aggregate score of 91 percent on Metacritic, based on 46 different reviews. At 91 percent, this marks the highest rated entry in the "Monster Hunter" franchise.

So, what makes the game so good? Generally speaking, many of the positive aspects of the game focus on how it has all the core gameplay elements that made previous entries good while at the same time adding several improvements and quality of life adjustments. Such make the game easier to approach and more appealing to a broader audience.

IGN talks about how "Monster Hunter World" makes a dramatic leap forward for the series in how it looks and feels that it seems like an entirely new game altogether. However, the latest entry still manages to preserve the franchise's core tenets in its methodical combat, amazing monster design, and variety of equipment and weapons to craft.

Other sources talk about how Capcom's latest entry removes all the extra clutter that was present in the previous games and just doubled down on what fans love about the series.

Unfortunately, no game is without its shortcomings and, despite the favorable reviews, "Monster Hunter World" is no exception. The more common criticism that the game has received is how it does not fully explain too many of their mechanics and systems, especially when it comes to players new to the franchise.

Eurogamer comments on how the menu system is still incredibly clunky and hard to navigate. In addition to that, there are still some systems carried over from previous entries that, when bundled up together, just feels clumsy.

Yet despite these small hiccups, they fall short compared to the all the positive feedback and praises that the game is getting from almost every major outlet and it seems that "Monster Hunter World" is definitely a must-buy for anyone who is even remotely interested in the series.

"Monster Hunter World" is available now for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One systems with a PC release scheduled to come out later this year.
