'Monster Hunter: World' news: Fight alongside Mega Man

It has already been a week since Capcom's Mega Man 30th anniversary live stream where they surprisingly announced "Mega Man 11." The surprises do not stop there as they even insert him in their latest game, "Monster Hunter: World."

Video game developers have just recently revealed a new trailer for their "Monster Hunter: World" during the PlayStation Experience 2017. While fans can definitely expect huge monsters, cool weapons, breathtaking graphics, there is one feature that nobody probably expected: Mega Man. The Blue Bomber that everyone has grown to love can be a companion for players' missions.

Mega Man can be chosen as a Palico, which is what companions are called, and he can help players their quests. However, since it is, after all, a Mega Man crossover, there will be more to this Palico than any other. His weapon choices are inspired by the existing Mega Man games, and these include The Great Sword, Gunlance, Long Sword, Charge Blade, and Bow, as per PC Gamer.

While with him, players can even listen to the classic Mega Man tunes while slaying those big monsters. To keep it aligned with Mega Man's 30th anniversary, the Mega Man Palico will be the 8-bit version, taken from the earliest version of the game. In effect, it may look a bit weird contrasting it to the high-definition environment.

Nevertheless, this does not downgrade any of its abilities. Right now, "Monster Hunter: World" is on its beta release, exclusively for those with a PlayStation Plus on their PS4. The official game will be released in less than two months on Jan. 26, 2018. The game will be made available for the PS4 and the Xbox One.

There is no news on a release date for the PC version, but PC gamers can expect it soon. It may even come with the new "Mega Man 11," which is scheduled to be released later next year.
