'Monster Hunter Generations' release date rumors: Launch revealed in leaked listing?

Monster Hunter Generations Capcom Unity

The release date of "Monster Hunter Generations" in the West may have been leaked. An Amazon listing shows that the action role-playing Nintendo 3DS game by Capcom will be out on July 31.

Nintendo announced in last week's Nintendo Direct that "Monster Hunger Generations" will be out this summer, which makes the rumored release date likely. The game is currently available for pre-order in the said retailer.

"Monster Hunter Generations" was released in Japan back in November with the title "Monster Hunter X." By the end of December, there were already 3 million copies of the title sold.

"Monster Hunter Generations" will offer players a flurry of quests to complete and enemies to battle, including never-before-seen monsters like Glavenus of the Fated Four. Familiar faces like Nargacuga will also return to wreak havoc.

The Amazon listing also teases that "Monster Hunter Generations" will let players experience "some of the best online multiplayer the Nintendo 3DS has to offer." With the game's co-op multiplayer option, gamers can team up or hunt three hunters or simply or meet up and play together.

Also, in "Monster Hunter Generations," Felynes are given greater roles. In the game's Prowler mode, gamers can play as the cat-like humanoids who are getting their own questlines and corresponding rewards, as well as unique gameplay mechanics and gear.

Meanwhile, it looks like the Mega Man DLC for "Monster Hunter Generations" will come first to Japan. The expansion pack allows players to transfer the powerful robot's weapons, outfits and abilities to their Palico. The iconic blue costume comes with the Rush Hammer and Quick Boomerangs.

A demo of the DLC was shown by YouTube user gaijin hunter, who is fond of creating videos about anything "Monster Hunter." During his demo, he revealed that performing certain combinations while donning the Mega Man costume will enable the players' suits to change colors for a couple of seconds.

"Monster Hunter Generations" is headed to the West on July 31.
