'Modern Family' season 8 premiere date, spoilers: Will Haley leave her family to live with Andy in Utah?

Will Andy and Haley get back together in 'Modern Family' season 8? ABC

The fate of Andy (Adam DeVine) and Haley's (Sarah Hyland) relationship will be tackled as soon as "Modern Family" returns on ABC for its eighth season.

At the end of season 7, Andy revealed that his cousin asked him to move back to Utah for his dream job. This made Haley very disappointed, but she agreed to let him go to pursue his career. After ending their relationship, Haley confessed to him at the airport that he was the very first man that she has ever loved.

Does it mean that it is really over for the two? Or will Haley decide to move to Utah and leave her entire family to be with him?

Season 8 of "Modern Family" will also continue the storyline that was left off from the previous season. According to the press release from ABC, "Mitch (Jesse Tyler Ferguson), Cam (Eric Stonestreet) and Lily (Audrey Anderson-Emmons) will return from their summer stay in Kansas City. Claire (Julie Bowen) and Jay (Ed O'Neill) will be working on their balance of powers in the office."

Meanwhile, series co-creator Christopher Lloyd teased that the end is almost near for the critically acclaimed mockumentary after season 8.

In an interview with Deadline, Lloyd admitted that that it became harder for them to come up with more stories to tell every year.

"But we still stumble into stories where we go, 'Wow, we could have told this in the first or second season,'" Lloyd said. "It was out there, and we just didn't think of it until now. The greatest pressure we feel is not to betray what we started out doing, which is delivering a funny, quality show that reflects real lives and real family emotions."

"Modern Family" season 8 premieres Sept. 21 on ABC.
