More laughs are coming with the return of "Modern Family" Wednesday night for its seventh season. Spoilers have it that the unexpressed feelings between Andy (Adam Devine) and Haley (Sarah Hyland) will be the center of the premiere episode titled "Summer Lovin."

Series co-creator Christopher Lloyd talked with Yahoo TV about what to look forward to in the season premiere of "Modern Family." According to Lloyd, the viewers of the show noticed that Andy and Haley are perfect for each other long before the two realized it, since they are not each other's preference.

"You know, Haley's sort of been going for more superficial guys, and I think Andy's been going for sort of more law-and-order, kind of mother types, and these are not their typical types, which makes it fun to contemplate what it would be like for them to be together," Lloyd said.

Aside from the growing attraction between the Andy and Haley, fans of "Modern Family" will see Jay (Ed O'Neill) and Gloria's (Sofia Vergara) son Joe, who is now a little older and ready to go to pre-school. Based on the trailer for the premiere episode, Jay and Gloria will be looking for a pre-school for their youngest son, but the boy seems to be easily distracted by his surroundings. Joe is even seen running after a chicken in the video teaser for the upcoming season.

"Modern Family" season 7 will also show Alex's (Ariel Winter) transition to college. Lloyd stated that Alex will still move out from her parent's home even if Caltech is just a few miles away from their place. Yet it does not mean that Alex will be missing from the show since she can still drop by their suburban neighborhood anytime during the weekend or talk to anyone in her family via Skype.

The season premiere of "Modern Family" season 7 will air tonight at 9 p.m. on ABC.  Catch the premiere online via live stream on ABC.com
