Wii U fans can finally enjoy "Minecraft: Story Mode" after Telltale Games announced that the version will come out on Thursday, Jan. 21.

Mojang officially announced Monday that the indie game developer will drop the Wii U edition of the episodic point-and-click video game version of the best-selling sandbox game. This came after gamers using PlayStation 4, Playstation 3, PlayStation Vita, Xbox One, Xbox 360, PC, Android, and iOS players started to play its first episode in October 2015.

"The Wii U version will feature off-TV play and mirroring for the Wii's GamePad controller, so you can play when someone else is doing less-fun things on the TV. You can even use the nifty touch interface if joysticks and buttons ain't your bag," Mojang's press release stated.

Nintendo of America's VO of Publisher & Developer Relations Steve Singer also talked about the upcoming release on their official website, saying: "We are thrilled that Nintendo fans will have the opportunity to experience this first-hand with the debut of 'Minecraft: Story Mode' on Wii U."

Those who are interested to play the game on their Wii U console can purchase episode 1 titled "The Order of the Stone" for $4.99. But those want to get hold of all five episodes, including "Episode 2: Assembly Required," "Episode 3: The Last Place You Look," "Episode 4: A Block and a Hard Place," and the upcoming "Episode 5: Order Up!" can purchase the Season Pass worth $19.99.

In "Minecraft: Story Mode," gamers can opt to play the role of Jesse as a male or female character to get on a thrilling adventure to look for the members of The Order of the Stone named Gabriel, Magnus, Ellegaard, Ivor, and Soren to help him and his friends save the world.

Players of the game can gather items, solve puzzles, and communicate with non-playing characters using conversation trees to get more details about the story and get instructions for their next step.
