"Minecraft" fans who are eagerly waiting for more updates regarding the game's story mode will just have to wait a few more days since Telltale Games will finally talk about it this weekend.

On its official Twitter account, the game studio behind some of the most popular episodic video games like "Game of Thrones," "Borderland," and "The Walking Dead" revealed its plans to discuss "Minecraft: Story Mode" at this year's MineCon.

The event is the yearly convention dedicated to all things "Minecraft," hosted by game developer Mojang AB.

Telltale Games first mentioned about the upcoming "Minecraft: Story Mode" late last year, saying that it "will be an all-new narrative-driven game series developed by Telltale in collaboration with Mojang. Set in the world of Minecraft, the series will feature an original story, driven by player choice."

Mojang also added at that time that the story mode of "Minecraft" will not be what most people expect it to look like, but it will definitely still appear to be part of the game's iconic universe. This statement made fans even more curious about what Telltale and Mojang have in store for gamers with the planned story mode edition of the popular puzzle sandbox game.

But both game studios have been mum about the details about their collaborated work since the December 2014 announcement, and the only other information about it claims that the episodic game will feature an original story-based experience which will be established by the player's choices. It is also said that the game will be available for the PlayStation and Xbox consoles, PC, Mac, Android, and iOS devices later this year. This is why fans should look forward to what Telltale has to say in London this weekend to find out when exactly "Minecraft: Story Mode" will come out in the market, as well as how it can be played.

MineCon is the most ideal venue for revealing more details about "Minecraft: Story Mode" since thousands of "Minecraft" enthusiasts around the world flock to the ExCeL London Exhibition and Conference Centre for the said event.
