The last episode of Telltale's ongoing story-based adaptation of Minecraft, "Minecraft: Story Mode" season 2, is releasing next week, and to stir everyone's excitement, the company dropped a brand-new trailer for the upcoming finale.

Clocking at nearly two minutes, the trailer showcases the gameplay and cutscenes from the fifth episode titled "Above and Beyond." It particularly sees the main character Jesse gearing up for a battle with the Admin after he successfully takes control of Bacontown. As Telltale describes it, "Menacing guards patrol the streets, anxious citizens tremble in fear, and worst of all, everyone believes Jesse is responsible thanks to the Admin's devious disguise. In order to save the city, the real Jesse must find a way to zap the Admin's powers and take him down once and for all."

"Minecraft: Story Mode - Above and Beyond" will be available in just a few days on Dec. 19 on iOS and Android devices, as well as on PC, Mac, PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch. Players can purchase the episode for $4.99, but Season Pass holders can download it completely free of additional charge. Currently, the Season Pass will set players back $24.99.

Whether or not the second season would be the "Minecraft: Story Mode" series' final one is unclear at the moment, but hopefully its finale will satisfy all fans. Check out the trailer for "Above and Beyond" below:

First released in October 2015, "Minecraft: Story Mode" is an episodic interactive comedy-drama point-and-click graphic adventure video game. The first season kicked off with Jesse's journey to find The Order of the Stone. As with Telltale's other games, decisions that the player makes will influence events in both the current episode and later ones. Upon release, it received mixed reception with some critics praising its humor and lighthearted tone and others noting the presence of technical issues.
