Gamers can finally learn the story behind Jesse and friends as they embark on an exciting adventure in Telltale Games' "Minecraft: Story Mode," set to come out next month.

The game developer revealed last week that the first episode of the episodic video game will come out digitally for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, Xbox 360, and PC on Oct. 13. Then the mobile devices on iOS and Android operating systems can start downloading the game on Oct. 15. But for those who want to get the retail editions of the game in order to avail the season pass will have to wait until Oct. 27 to get the episode.

Gamespot revealed that the first episode of "Minecraft: Story Mode" is called "The Order of the Stone," and it will be followed by four more episodes. All episodes will be available individually or through the season pass. For the retail version, the first episode will come out on a disc while the four other installments will have to be downloaded once they become available.

According to the official "Minecraft: Story Mode" website, the upcoming episodic game will take players to the different dimensions in the "Minecraft" world where they can decide where the story goes through their different actions throughout the game.

The game developer also released the plot of the game, which reads:

You are Jesse. He and his group of friends revere the legendary Order of the Stone; four adventurers that slayed an Ender Dragon. The Order are the very best at what they do: Warrior, Redstone Engineer, Griefer, and Architect. While at EnderCon, Jesse and his friends discover that something is wrong... something dreadful. Terror is unleashed, and they must set out on a journey to find The Order of the Stone if they are to save their world from oblivion."

There are no details yet regarding the individual and season pass pricing for the upcoming game.
