Fans of "Metal Gear Solid" in Japan can now take their love for the game anywhere they go as Sony Mobile has released a "Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain"-themed Xperia J1 smartphone exclusively in the country.

The mobile phone manufacturing arm of the Japanese electronics, gaming, and entertainment corporation released the Sony Xperia J1 Phantom Pain edition alongside the "Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain" video game. It brings Solid Snake, the Big Boss, and other characters of the long-running action-adventure stealth franchise in a handheld device.

One of the unique features of the video game-inspired smartphone is the Outer Heaven logo printed on the back cover of the device. It also comes with two "Metal Gear Solid" official soundtracks, a ringtone, and exclusive wallpapers taken from the soon-to-be released installment in the "Metal Gear Solid" franchise.

It also has a built-in "MSG V" art book in PDF form, as well as a 1,000 yen ($8) voucher that can be used to purchase the "Metal Gear Solid" digital comics.

Aside from the "Metal Solid Gear"-inspired features, the Sony Xperia J1 also comes with its default mid-range smartphone features such as 4.3-inch touchscreen HD display, 2.2 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor, 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of built-in memory. It also has a 20.7-megapixel primary camera with autofocus, LED flash and video recording, and a 2.2-megapixel secondary front-facing selfie camera. It is also powered by a 2,300 mAh battery.

But aside from the Xperia J1 Phantom Pain smartphone, Sony will also release several other limited edition devices that will feature the upcoming "Metal Gear Solid" game. These include the Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact, Xperia Z2 Tablet, Walkman A16, and the Walkman ZX2.

While the two Xperia tablets also come with the same special features as the smartphone, they will include special tablet cases that have the game's logo and a camouflage pattern at the back. On the other hand, the Walkman A16 and Walkman ZX2 MP3 players will also feature the "Metal Gear Solid V" wallpapers and official soundtracks, but the A16 will come with an engraved logo at the back and the ZX2 will feature the game's title below the front screen as well as a leather back cover.

All Sony devices with "Metal Gear Solid V" theme will be released exclusively in Japan on Sept. 2, while "MGS" fans in the U.S. and other parts of the world are still waiting for an announcement if the device will be released in their regions as well.
