'Metal Gear Solid' collection news: Armature Studios denies 'MGS' collection

With the coming release of the latest and Kojima-less "Metal Gear Survive," it would not be a surprise for developers Konami or Armature Studios to roll out a "Metal Gear Collection." While there were rumors popping about it and seemingly got people hyped up for it, unfortunately, Armature has recently just came out to deny these rumors.

The original rumor came about from the website of developers Armature themselves although it was found on Reddit and was taken from the website's archives. For those who do not know, Armature is the company responsible for porting the "Metal Gear" games to the PlayStation Vita. According to their website, they had a listing of a HD collection that is presumably coming to the PS4.

This was initially shrugged off as just a mistake for the original HD collection for the PS3. However, as many have already pointed out, the first HD collection was made by Bluepoint and not Armature so it would be quite weird for Armature to be doing the same thing. Thus people believing that it is a new project.

However, just because it does not exactly a deny a possibility of a PS4 HD Collection, it does not confirm it either. "Unfortunately, this was simply a typo by one of our web developers and is neither a leak nor an indication that the MGS HD collection is coming to PS4," reads a statement from Armature, as per GameZone. "Or that Armature is working on any new MGS games."

While this is certainly a bummer for a lot of gamers, there is always still "Metal Gear Survive" coming out soon. It is the first game without lead developer Hideo Kojima in the production and because of this, a lot of fans are wondering how the game will go.

"Metal Gear Survive" will be out Feb. 20, 2018. Players will be able to judge by then if the game is still as great even without Kojima.
